Son Kite have during the years established themselves as one of the most established live artists in the trance scene, always developing their music and always searching for new ways to make interesting performances on stage.
In December 2003 they recorded a live set at Venus Fort in Tokyo released on a DVD (Son Kite live in Tokyo) in the end of 2004. The DVD was a part of the concept release Colours. If you like the live set we highly recommend you to check out the DVD so you can listen to the music and watch the gig on your television at the same time. On the DVD you can find extra material, such as visuals, music videos and documentaries.

Danish Delight
Iboga records has just announced all it's upcoming releases for the end of the year.
Emok and Jeppe have been up to no good all summer, as usual :)
Most importanlty I hear that they have formed a new distribution channel called Two Hands. With Iboga, Digital Structures, Sofa Beats and Tropical Beats signing up this might mean an end to the distribution problems faced by one too many labels in the progressive trance and progressive psytrance scene.

Klein and Zenker
are getting down dirty anb funky on the new 12" from Mutteki called 'Humidity'. All three tracks have a tasty funky-acid character and although not the easiest to fit in a set, they do a pretty good job of exciting the eardrums.

Dance N Dust Double D
I have been going through the new Dance N Dust comp titled Double D.
Shaman, El Zisco, Itaitaiko and Treshold Productions are doing a pretty good job. There are some tracks in there though, that really don't cut it for me.
The highlight of some trully strange choices is 'Doors To Dream' from Remote Access which - and excuse my french here - is something of a 1997 mega-track, 8 years late.

Neo-Full-On?
"What's in a name? Neo-full-on is the new vibe bubbling in the gulf between progressive trance and the slower, less-saturated side of full-on psychedelic. Or is it actually the frothy crest of a new wave in progressive? At the moment, there's not much of it out there, so it's difficult to tell. But if the name helps people get over the general knee-jerk rejection against "progressive," then all the better. And why not? This part of the electronica shore has been virtually abandoned since the turn of the century, when full-on artists moved up the beach in pursuit of higher speed, fidelity and musical kicks."
I found this in Japan Times. Are people really that scared about calling progressive trance music what it is? Progressive that is. Is the word progressive that scary? Possibly so, for all those who love to hang on to the past...
